The planning commission is made up of volunteer residents appointed by the mayor and city council to serve in an advisory role on land use policy, like changes in city code, zone changes, and the general plan.  The planning commission also reviews certain applications like subdivisions and conditional use permits.  It usually meets in the evenings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, unless otherwise noticed.
