DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to inform you of a large construction project planned for the 2022 construction season on 600 West from 1600 North (Pages Lane) to 2200 North (Porter Lane). \n  \n  \nThe project consists of replacing the culinary water system in the road and re-building the substructure and asphalt of the road. There will be limited repairs to curb and gutter. Contractors will likely begin within a few weeks\, and the work may take the entire season to complete. \nWhile this project will enhance our community\, city leaders understand the hardships associated with any project of this size. Work will take place in what is now street right-of-way\, but residents will experience impacts to access\, traffic\, noise\, dust\, and limited water outages. \nRegardless of whether there will be new improvements in front of your property\, all residents are welcome and encouraged to contact city staff if they have questions\, comments\, or concerns related to this work. SUMMARY:Arts Council Concert – Susie Carter
DESCRIPTION:The West Bountiful Arts Council is excited to bring Susie Carter back to their concert stage\, Friday\, March 11\, at City Hall. She will entertain us with a “Spring Forth in Song” concert that is free and starts at 7:00 pm.  \nSusie is the voice many have heard during the Christmas season singing at Dick’s Market. When asked about that she said\, “I earn tips and help needy families\, or I find a child in need. I have many friends there that tell me they enjoy the atmosphere when I sing and that means a great deal to me.” Susie also said the following about her singing\, “I sang all through my school years and then had the opportunity to go to school at BYU-Hawaii and sang with the showcase choir that toured the Islands… that was a highlight for me.” Since then\, Susie has sung for years with various bands and groups as a soloist and has performed on the Arts Council stage before.  She loves the theater and says\, “I have been in many fun productions. My most favorite roles were Winifred in “Once Upon a Mattress” and Miss Hanigan from “Annie.” \nIn Susie’s ”Spring Forth in Song” concert\, we will have Susie all to ourselves for a musical evening of songs from Pop to Broadway performed in her own smooth and mellow way. We hope you will join us. \n
